Mobile internet in the USA: eSIM, roaming or prepaid SIM?

Updated October 30, 2026

Distances in the USA are huge, and a lot runs through your phone: Google Maps on the highway, Uber and Lyft, mobile tickets for parks and museums, and staying in touch with your group.

The networks: Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile

The USA has three major mobile networks: Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile. Our USA eSIM connects to Verizon or AT&T 5G, whichever is stronger where you are. The internet exit is in the USA, so apps and websites see a US connection, with no detour abroad.

Roaming, prepaid SIM or eSIM?

How much data do you need?

Our USA plans run for 30 days with 5 GB, 10 GB or 20 GB for the whole period:

Streaming video uses the most data. Download playlists and shows on the hotel Wi-Fi, then your plan lasts much longer.

Install at home, the plan starts in the USA

You can install the eSIM before your trip, at home on your Wi-Fi. The plan only starts once the eSIM connects to a network in the USA. After landing, switch mobile data to the eSIM and turn on data roaming.
